Initially I thought it was great satire. WAS I WRONG!!!
Here’s a great reality check…
A good number of years ago I had the opportunity to walk the halls of Congress with a fellow patriot who now lives and works in the DC Beltway area. Not only has he become a great friend, but I read his commentary about our failed political system and I have to concur with his thoughts and feelings.
I’m referring to Scott Wheeler, founder of News Inquisitor, A podcast where you can find good solid political analysis, perhaps tinged with a little bit of satire at times. I am including a link to his podcast which I received from him today and I am passing it along with a strong recommendation to consider his proposition Regarding how we should take back our country by using the immigration problem, not to complain and file more white papers in Washington that can be discussed over and over again with the same indeterminate outcome, or direct our efforts into something that we might be productive and actually create some positive results.
Yes, we’ve closed the border. We now have to contend with the millions who have been brought in illegally. But what if by some chance we could educate some of those who have shown their dedication, determination and resilience by having made the trek over thousands of miles to come to our border and seek a better life. Wheeler makes a great point: Now that the Democrats have let them into our country, what can they look forward to? When the ‘free stuff’ runs out, what will they face. It’s up to the Republicans to grab the stage and inform them of what awaits them under a Democrat rule, and what would await them if Republicans were in charge. Look at the record. How difficult mighty it be. For many, would it not be better if we educated them and helped them to integrate into a productive life instead of expecting handouts? I wonder if it just might work…
